A dirty air filter can cause your air conditioner to work harder than necessary and can also lead to poor indoor air quality. It’s a good idea to vacuum or dust around the area where the filter sits before putting the new one in to ensure good airflow.

Replacing The Evaporator Coil

The evaporator coil is responsible for absorbing heat from the indoor air. Over time, the evaporator coil can become dirty or damaged, which can cause it to lose its ability to absorb heat effectively. If your evaporator coil needs to be replaced, it is best to booking appointment with Socool Aircon do it, as it is a delicate process.

Replacing The Condenser Coil

The condenser coil is responsible for releasing heat from the refrigerant. Like the evaporator coil, the condenser coil can become dirty or damaged over time, which can reduce its efficiency. If your condenser coil needs to be replaced, you should also have a professional do it.

Replacing The Compressor

The compressor is one of the most expensive parts of your air conditioner, so replacing it can be a significant expense. The compressor is responsible for circulating the refrigerant through the system. If it fails, it will need to be replaced.

Replacing Your Capacitor

Replacing your capacitor is a little more complicated. First, you’ll need to purchase a new capacitor that matches the specifications of your old one. Be sure to write down or take a picture of the old capacitor so that you know what to look for. Once you have the new capacitor, you’ll need to discharge any residual electricity in your system by shorting out the wires leading to your old capacitor ( use gloves and take care not to shock yourself! ). Then, remove the old capacitor and connect the wires leading to the new one, being sure to connect them to the correct terminals.

Line up your new blade with the shaft in your aircon unit, making sure that it is pointing in the same direction as the old blade, and screw it into place. That’s it – you’re all done!
